MBA News: A research conducted by the “Pew” Research Center shows that TV is still on top of the news sources and social networks outnumber newspapers in

this regard
Spending a day off with a cup of coffee and newspaper will quickly become a part of the past for all of us
The Pew Research Center found that 20% of the American adults participating in its recent research study, often use social media for news reports. This is the first time that the social network stands higher than the newspaper (with its 16% share) since the Pew began conducting its research study
Television continues to rank first with its 49 percent share in this ranking, which is of course down from a 57% share in 2016. After television, news websites (with a share of 33%, higher than the figure 28% in 2016) and radio (with a share of 26%, slightly higher than the 25% in 2016) ranked next
The Pew Research Center also concluded that receiving news on television as an option was for the first time a practice often chosen by 9 percent of the respondents. More than 73% of the target community added that they mostly received the news through news media or cable TVs

:The research center also reviewed the difference among the age groups

65-year-olds and older respondents are likely to watch and hear news through television about five times as much as those of 18 to 29 years old. This group of audiences account for 81% of the total. Next to that, 65% of the people aged 50-64 are also informed of the news by the television. Meanwhile, only 16% of the

people aged 18 to 29 and 36% of the people aged 30 to 49 often receive news from television

The process is reversed for social media; respondents aged 18 to 29 use the social media almost four times more than those sixty-five years old and older

The 65-year-old age group is also the last stronghold to be interested in newspapers. While 39 percent of them receive news from the newspapers, this figure is not higher than 18% for any other age group

The age group of 30 to 49 years old receive most news from online news sites. This figure is 42% for their group and 27% for those aged 18-29

Half or less than fifty percent of the people aged 18 to 49 years old often receive news from a platform

In the television area, 37% of the respondents often watch and hear news from local television. In contrast, 30% use the cable television news and 25% the afternoon news service from the national network
